Frank Abraham and Georg Pfaab started working in the music business in 1992 after successfully promoting concerts in Berlin with the Brazilian band Olodum. From the beginning their activities as an agent have focused on new, promising music from Brazil, and quickly their company, called transatlantico cultura y arte, became one of the leading agencies for outstanding and successful Brazilian artists in Europe. After five years of growing experience and achieving a good reputation in Germany and worldwide, a new company, transatlantico events & promotion began working also with Latin, African and European music and has represented, for instance, the king of Rai, Khaled, worldwide, and Cesaria Evora, Celia Cruz, Oscar D’Leon and Goran Bregovic in Germany. Since 1993 transatlantico cultura y arte and transatlantico events & promotion have promoted festivals, concerts and events - varying from artists and periods - in numerous cities but mainly at different locations in Berlin. Throughout the years artists such as Youssou N'Dour, Buckshot LeFonque feat. Branford Marsalis, Irakere, Cesaria Evora, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Incognito, Cassandra Wilson, Jazzkantine, Noa, Cheikh Lô, Ruben Gonzales & Ibrahim Ferrer, Al Jarreau, Goran Bregovic, Manu Chao, Toto a.o. have been presented.
With their new company transatlantico tours & services GmbH, Frank Abraham and Georg Pfaab have decided to concentrate on the touring business. However they will use their 10 year’s festival experience as a service to promoters and institutions, i.e. for festival creation, festival production and festival booking.
